I was an extra in the movie, you can actually see me on the DVD cover & poster, I was there for the crash and then their walk over the finish line..
Between takes Malik Yoba and Doug E. Doug tossed around a football with a 14 year old me, remember that vividly as it was just so cool, Leon Robinson hung out and chatted with people
That guy on the left, once the director called cut, he went right to his trailer and kind of didn’t even acknowledge anyone, acted like a diva…
Doug E. Doug was gracious enough to come to our video production class in Queens in the 90s, taking questions from a bunch of JHS kids. Super friendly.
I tell you what I see in this picture. I see pride, I see power, I see a group of badass muthas who don’t take no crap, from nobody.

Sanka, you dead?
I saw this picture and instantly thought “Cool Runnings wasn’t *that* long ago, was it??”
But yes. It apparently was. We are old.
Feel the rhythm!
Derice still looks like he could put down a good time on the 100m sprint
I ain’t kissing no egg!
A shame that John isn’t with us to celebrate this classic film. Miss you big guy.
I SEE PRIDE!
Fun fact, the events that inspired cool runnings took place at the same Winter Olympics that Eddie the Eagle competed in
SANKA’S NOT DEAD!!!
You can literally feel the rhythm, and the rhyme.
Not pictured: lucky egg
Ya mun
I had an idea for a sequel to Cool Runnings.
2 Cool 2 Runnings. And this time, they’re a Jamacian bobsled team trying to make it as assassins.
And everyone’s like, “there’s no way you guys can make it as assassins.”
But through determination, teamwork, and some hijinks along the way,
Well, I don’t wanna spoil the ending.
Shut up!!!! Soooo cooool guys!!! Love it
Leon 😍 still so fine.
“I could watch him run all day.”
Peace be the journey
